Changing the name of my magazine.

Unfortunately after doing some research I came across a blog under the name of ‘The Conscious Edit’ which is what I intended on naming my magazine. The blog is of the same theme as my magazine which means it would be inappropriate to create a magazine of similar content under the same name of this already existing blog belonging to someone else. Although I know I should have done more research into the name whilst at the proposal creation process, at the time when I thought of the name I got carried away without thinking to search it into Google to see if anything else came up under the tag. http://www.theconsciousedit.co. This is the link to the blog I discovered under the name ‘The Conscious Edit’.

This was a bit of a step back for me as I was so excited upon receiving my feedback for my proposal that I wanted to get my social media sites set up with a logo as a base to promote my magazine and start posting regular inspiration imagery and sneak previews as quickly as possible. I felt that until I had decided on a new name for my magazine that part of my project was on hold. During this time while I brainstormed new name options I kept the ball rolling by doing research into makeup looks for my beauty editorial section to make sure I wasn’t wasting my time completely.

I have finalised my magazine name now from ‘The Conscious Edit’ to ‘Edit Conscious’. It is short and snappy and sums up my magazine very well, it is an edit of all fashion and beauty trends with a conscious stance.
