Collaborators

When I was creating my project proposal I knew I was going to collaborate with a team of creatives to be able to create the highest quality content possible, but since the proposal my team of creatives has changed and different roles have been adopted by different people. Some of the help I thought I would need in proposal I haven't used so this page is the official credits for the production of Edit Conscious magazine.

As most of my photo shoots were on location I no longer needed my studio assistant Jess Greenfield. When I did do my studio shoot the photographer was able to set this up herself.
I decided against using a makeup & hair assistant as I want to use this magazine as a portfolio of my skills as a creative director, stylist and makeup artist it would be better if I created all the makeup and hair looks as an individual artist. As I was only using one model for the complex makeup and hair shoots I didn't need an assistant to help me.
Due to my decision to cut out my lifestyle section I know longer needed to collaborate with Gaz Oakley (Avantegardevegan).
All of my photographers edited the images they took themselves and I taught myself how to use InDesign to put together my magazine so I know longer required technical assistance from Luka Nikcevic and Daniel Newstead.

I really enjoyed collaborating with all these creatives. Everyone was so flexible and willing to help throughout the whole process. I wish I had collaborated with other creatives in first and second year because the images we have produced have been such a higher level of quality due to everyone using their specialist skills to create the best visuals possible. Having photographers in charge of taking the photo's and post-production meant that I could focus on the direction, concept, makeup and styling. It also gave me a lot more free time at home to plan my shoots, research, purchase clothing and makeup I needed, layout my magazine as I went along and source models, where as if I took the photos myself I would have to spend my time as home learning how to retouch them myself and editing them all one by one. It has been a great experience and I have made valuable contacts for the future, I have already planned a beauty shoot with Danni Gibbs, the photographer I used for my SS17 beauty editorial to benefit both of our portfolios and some Olive and Frank fashion shoots in London with Isha Shah.
