Production schedule

The production schedule above is the one I made during my proposal, looking back at it it was quite unrealistic to think that I could start all my photo shoots by the beginning of February and finish by the end of March. Photo shoots take time planning and always change last minute to many of the factors I have experienced during this project, for example; weather, flexibility of creative collaborators, technical issues etc. I feel like if I kept to this schedule I would have had rushed content and not completed it to the standard I have now. Below is my revised production schedule:

This updated production schedule was much more realistic and it meant that by following it I didn't have to rush the process and resulted in me putting much more time and dedication into each section. By consistently keeping my blog updated with every step of my journey it has given me a structure to my planning and allowed me to reflect on every single bit. Layout out my magazine on InDesign as I went along was one of the best decisions I ever made as it meant that I didn't have to rush it last minute as the layout might be overlooked by some people, assuming it will be easy when in fact to make it look aesthetically pleasing and flow nicely from beginning to end takes a long time.
As I staggered my shoots over the past few months and only finished my last shoot two weeks ago, it has meant I have lived and breathed this magazine morning and night for the past five months. This production schedule has allowed me to work at a steady pace and actually enjoy the process of creating Edit Conscious. The only thing I am regretting is not making time in my final week to be able to attend a tutorial or drop in session with a tutor to receive feedback.
