Researching fashion brands

I found researching the brands I was going to use pretty hard as loads of sustainable companies don't advertise themselves as being ethical so I had to do a lot of research to find the first few. A lot of the brands that are ethical in their practise are usually also fairly new or small home grown companies so don't have a lot of information about them available. Finding brands that are also on trend was difficult as many brands that their main focus is being ethical means that they aren't as up to date with trends, being hot on trend isn't their main priority. As well, many sustainable fashion brands are for a different target audience then Edit Conscious. For example; People Tree are an ethical fashion brand but their clothing is for those who aren't influenced by current trends and who are very into making sure where the clothes come from and how they are made, hope to make as little impact on the environment as possible.

In my proposal I did a bit of research into some sustainable fashion brands so I have looked into them to see what kind of clothes they are currently selling and then I am going to research a larger variety of brands afterwards. Below is a screenshot from my proposal:

Brands from my proposal:
I have looked into the brands I listed in my proposal and don't like any of the clothes most of them are currently selling so I am going to have to research more companies. I am definitley going to use Olive & Frank because their clothing doesn't really change from season to season, they maintain their cool, youth culture influenced, fun aesthetic from year to year and I think their clothing will make for a really nice feature in my magazine. I am also going to use the ASOS Eco Edit to browse the website for new brands to feature in my magazine.
